PRESIDENT - Paul Dank
Paul Dank is the President of the MCPI and a Principal with Advanced Surveillance Group, a full service private detective agency headquartered in Clinton Township, Michigan. His agency specializes in surveillance, computer forensics and information gathering for corporations and law firms in the areas of casualty liability, intellectual property, labor and employment, competitive intelligence, criminal defense and fraud.

Prior to establishing A.S.G., Mr. Dank managed a mid-size Michigan based private detective agency specializing in insurance fraud investigations, worked as an insurance services consultant and as an auditor with KPMG. Mr. Dank is an active member of MCPI and has served as Chair of the Unlicensed Activity Committee, as Vice President for two terms and worked on a variety of committees. He serves on the Board of Directors of the ISPLA and on the Investigations Council of the ASIS International. Paul is a also a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, National Council of Investigative and Security Services, Detroit Athletic Club and the Detroit Economic Club.

VICE PRESIDENT - Wayne Bullen
Wayne Bullen, following 26 years as a Michigan State Police Officer, retired in 1996 as a Detective Sergeant and opened W B Investigations, Inc. in Novi. He and his retired Royal Oak Police Detective Sergeant, provide many investigative services that include locating individuals, family law issues, and criminal investigations. They specialize in traffic crashes, homicides, theft, criminal sexual assaults and issues related to plaintiffs claims in civil matters. Mr. Bullen has had the pleasure of serving the Michigan Council of Professional Investigator as a Board Member Treasurer and Sergeant At Arms before being elected Vice President for 2011/12. Mr. Bullen is a Past President of the Wayne County Detectives Association, Past President of the Novi Rotary Club, member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), National Council of Investigation & Security Services (NCISS) and has a Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Michigan University. After many years as a law enforcement officer and 14 years as a professional investigator, Mr. Bullen has discovered the importance and can attribute his success to the principles of integrity, promptness, and to conducting comprehensive thorough investigations

SECRETARY - Cheri Gelnak

SERGEANT AT ARMS - Daryn Rollins P.E.M.
As Director of Operations / EPS for Pinkerton Consulting & Investigations Michigan Region, Mr. Rollins duties are to over see all operations in Michigan, Northern Ohio, Indiana, these duties also include Executive Protection, Surveillance, Under Cover operations, Theft, Cargo Loss, Food Security, Computer Forensic and Violence in the Workplace and Physical Security Assessments and Emergency Management and Aviation Security.
Mr. Rollins was employed by AirTouch Cellular as Corporate Protective Services Eastern Region. Mr. Rollins operation focus was employee Safety, Bomb Threats, Inclement weather, Violence in the Workplace, Physical Security and Theft and Emergency Management. Mr. Rollins expanded his experience with the Federal Government Civil Service to include Dept. of Defense, EEOC, Dept. of Justice, Drug Enforcement Agency, Federal Emergency Management Agency, USAFR and the Macomb County Sheriffs Department Marine Division.

Mr. Rollins has been the Director of Security for the Detroit Gold Cup Races (DRRA) and for the Detroit Free Press International Marathon Race.

Mr. Rollins is a graduate of Central Michigan University Center for Public Service, Emergency Management Institute, Michigan State Police/ Emergency Management Division, Emergency Management Institute Professional Development and most recently Distinguish Graduate of the R.L. Oatman Executive Protection Specialist School, Baltimore, Maryland.

Mr. Rollins has served on various international boards to include the International Association of Fire Chiefs, Industrial Fire and Safety Security Leadership Team. Michigan INFRAGARD, American Society of Industrial Security, Michigan Council of Private Investigators, Michigan Assoc. of Chiefs of Police, International Assoc. of Police Chiefs, Fraternal Order of Police.

TREASURER - Peter Kalawert
Peter Kalawert has been a Member of the MCPI since becoming a Licensed Private Investigator in 1994. He has also served as Secretary and on several committees. He has a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Saginaw Valley and an Associates Degree from Delta College in Law Enforcement. Mr. Kalawert has worked in virtually every arm of the Criminal Justice System. He was first a U.S. Marine attached to the Naval Security Group, then as a Police Officer, Court Investigator, served as both a State and Federal Corrections Officer, and as a Court Officer. He has also run a Process Service Agency since 1991. Pete currently performs maritime and railroad insurance damage surveys, both criminal and civil defense investigations, executive and property protection, and undercover operations.

Steve Crane
Steve Crane is a Licensed Professional Investigator and owner of Asset Control Services, Inc. (ACS). ACS is headquartered in West Bloomfield, MI and specializes in various types of insurance fraud investigations. Mr. Crane has a Bachelor Degree in Law Enforcement and Security Administration from Northern Michigan University. Prior to starting ACS, Mr. Crane worked seventeen years as an investigator for several National Companies as a District, Regional, Divisional and Corporate Loss Prevention Director. In addition to MCPI, Mr. Crane is a member of  the National Council of Investigations & Security Services, Ohio Association of Security & Investigative Services and The Indiana Society of Professional Investigators.

PAST PRESIDENT - Frank Solik  
Franklin Solik is President of PEACEMAKER, a Security Consulting Company, Private Detective Agency, and Security Training Company.  He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from Southern Illinois University. He has presented seminars at Michigan State University’s School of Criminal Justice, the American Society for Industrial Security, and the Safety Council of West Michigan.  Frank has worked in the security industry since 1982.  Prior to 1982, Mr. Solik was a Regional Sales Manager for a Midwest manufacturer, and taught Marketing at Lansing Community College. He is certified to conduct Michigan’s CCW training and certified by The Crisis Prevention Institute in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.  He is Secretary for the Kalamazoo Rod and Gun Club, a volunteer Reserve Police Officer for the Portage Police Department, past President of the local chapter of the American Society for Industrial Security, the Michigan Director for the Association of Christian Investigators, and a member of Lake Center Bible Church, where he leads a Bible Study.
